MARKING the 80th anniversary of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), a special collection of quilts will be on display at the 2008 Craft and Quilt Fair at Exhibition Park in Canberra from August 7-10.
The “Under Flynn’s Wings” collection will showcase 20 entries depicting the work or environment of the RFDS.
Also on show is a Japanese textile art exhibition offering the rare opportunity to view works by some of Japan’s most talented craftspeople.
The fair includes demonstrations and interactive workshops with experienced instructors.
