Too lovely to lock away
Published in Lifestyle - Fashion on 03 July, 2008

“CITYNEWS” photographer Silas Brown took so many great pictures at our winter fashion shoot that we simply couldn’t fit all of them into the feature.
But they’re too beautiful to bin, too lovely to lock away.
Here are some shots that showcase complete looks – for work and play – styled by Samantha West, of Show Me The Style – which we wanted to share.
In the feature, we showed you a glimpse of an Audrey Hepburnesque funnel-neck jacket; here it’s teamed with matching skirt, patent court shoes and bag, and the season’s must-have opaque tights, to complete an elegant look that eases from the office to the opera.
For a fun corporate look that’s equally versatile, dress up a pinafore with a feminine pussy-bow blouse, opaques, black boots and big bag.
The green Diesel bomber jacket (from Soho) was one of our model Zoë’s favourite items from the day, and we love the funky green stilettos from Mania.
The gorgeous gold tote from Furla and the black patent Maria Pino bag from Escala are versatile enough to take a girl from the desk to dinner or drinks.

Here are some shots that showcase complete looks for work and play.

Thinking more about Alexander Henry, his fabrics are really fabulous in person. I own a laptop bag made of “Inked” and I recently made a backsack for a friend from “Dark Angels”. They’re amazing to see in person, because they’re fun and have great detail. I’d imagine the man titty ones are no different.

Maybe you should have a pair of lounge pants made up from that fabric, Sarah wink
