You make me feel like dancing…
Published in News on 03 July, 2008

… I want to dance the night away.
Leo Sayer’s cheesy hit song aside, hundreds of Australia’s leading professional and amateur dancers tripped the light fantastic amid the glitz and glamour of the 2008 National Capital Dancesports Championships at the AIS Arena. Competitors vied for glory in categories such as Latin-American, ballroom and new vogue dance styles. Organisers say the popularity of high-rating television shows such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance?” has had a dramatic positive effect on the numbers of participants in the annual event, a tourism drawcard for the ACT.
