      <description>DRIVERS of wheelchair&#45;accessible taxis will get incentive payments to keep their cars on the road over the festive season, to ensure that Canberrans with disabilities are able to spend time with family and friends. Chief Minister and Minister for Transport Jon Stanhope said the $150&#45;a&#45;day incentive would apply on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. There are 26 official wheelchair&#45;accessible taxis in the ACT and another two taxis capable of carrying wheelchairs.</description>
